NZXT Whisper chassis review | test

Introduction

As Jeff Dunham would say: Silence I kill you ! Okay okay, I know I used Achmed's pun already once before. But for reviews as shown today, it's just so valid. A while ago the chassis demons from NZXT released their Whisper series of PC cases. A chassis designed to remain quiet under most common circumstances.

Here at Guru3D.com we really digg that stuff. And admittedly .. personally I am a bit of a rare breed, I like high-performance gear, yet require it to be silent. And that's somewhat of a paradox in the technology industry where everything gets faster and faster, more hotter than hot .. and thus more noisy, to cool it down again.

It's the sole reason that for that fact alone I can only applaud manufacturers to design enthusiast oriented gear while keeping noise levels under control. Luckily this is a trend that is slowly picking up as yeah .. there's a good market for it. And where's a market, there's money to be made.

The essence of the above three paragraphs pretty much boils down to what NZXT tries to manage with it's Whisper chassis. A nice design chassis that is big in size (full-tower) yet with a focus on decent airflow in that chassis, and the room for everything you can think of.

By itself that certainly is a challenge to achieve. So let us see of NZXT can succeed, the whisper is a chassis filled with noise damping features while retaining style. But before you head on over to the next page, by all means, please have a look first.
